This demo comes with the final version of Valley, one of the larger battlegrounds in the game. Set in Yosemite, California, Valley has the Global Defense Force on the attack, as they attempt to foil a Strogg contamination plot centering on a water treatment facility. Valley features a great blend of close quarters infantry action, vehicle battles and aircraft dogfights, and the varied terrain combining mountains, waterways, tunnels and industrial structures allows for many different playing styles. To top it all off, there's a multitude of optional side missions and plenty of opportunities to try out the various defense turrets, artillery and radar deployables - Valley is a prime example of the frantic and diverse action you'll find in Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is a first person shooter — a multiplayer-focused action game set in the same world where the games Quake II and Quake 4 were set: A futuristic environment where the human race is pitted in a fierce battle against the alien Strogg.
Players participate in objective-based battles where they have to use weapons and vehicles to capture enemy territory. You can fly helicopters and anti-gravity ships, use tanks, quad bikes, and alien walkers and more as you establish new bases, deploy defensive structures, use artillery, radar and other systems to attack and defend your territory.
Players assume one of five different character classes, including soldiers, medics, engineers and more — and can play either as the human Global Defense Force or the Strogg. The game features a variety of different battlefields in tropical, arctic, temperate, urban and desert locations, and can play online (against other human players using either Macs or PCs) or offline (against computer-controlled opponents).
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars requires Mac OS X v10.5.1 or later and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor operating at 2.0GHz or faster. 1GB RAM, 5.5GB hard disk space, ATI Radeon X1600 or Nvidia GeForce 7300 or better 3D graphics card with at least 128MB VRAM (Intel graphics not supported), DVD-ROM.
